My personal practice…

A large part of my photography is encompassed in my personal practice.

It is where I get to experiment without a brief, without deadlines or fear of failure and where, I can begin to work through some of the things in my head that I question, wish to learn more about or which interest me and speak to my soul!

It’s an important part of most creative folks journey and three years ago I decided to give it the attention it deserved by starting an MA in Contemporary Documentary photography and Photojournalism. Well, what an adventure and what an incredible 3 years it has been! I am enlighten, inspired, exhausted and dizzy with ideas.

I couldn’t possible begin to cover all that it has given me in one journal entry but consider this the first introduction of that and my wider personal projects. You’ve probably seen them dotted between my commercial work on my social media sites and they are available to view here online.

My aim now is to continue to use my photography to interrogate. To ask questions and to make enquiries, be it for a social change project i’m interested in and my firm belief that as women we simply don’t know enough about our own bodies, our own health or the journey that we go on as we grow up and navigate all the power that lies within us! I truly believe that sharing stories, creating inclusive spaces to do that and including a little photography along the way can help make changes that create a positive impact or empower or enable.

It is the same heart firing passion that drives me to learn more about you and your business and want to capture your brands essence and energy with lightness, heart and passion.

Here is to more sharing of ourselves and I can’t wait to begin to include more and more projects here for you to see.
